AUTHOR POV-

As soon as Dhruv entered Anant's room, Anant bombarded him with questions, his voice laced with concern. "Did you find her? Is she alright? Where is she?" he asked in one breath.

Dhruv took a seat in front of Anant, crossing his arms over his chest and raising an eyebrow. "Why are you so concerned about her?" he asked, his tone was curious.

Anant hesitated, collecting his thoughts before responding. "Nothing... I just made a promise to her brother that I would take care of her," he said, his voice measured. "Please don't ask why, I'm not able to give you any answers right now."

Dhruv's expression turned resolute, his jaw clenched. "I'm sending her to Australia, and that's final. She'll be on tomorrow evening's flight," he declared, his tone brooking no argument.

Anant's eyes widened in shock, his teeth grinding in frustration. "What are you saying? She's not even able to take care of herself in this country, and you're sending her to another country?" he exclaimed, his voice was incredulous.

The air was thick with tension as the two men locked eyes, their disagreement palpable. Anant's concern for Vaani's well-being was evident, but Dhruv's determination to send her away was equally clear. The question was, what lay behind Dhruv's sudden decision, and what would be the consequences of his actions?

Dhruv's face turned red with anger as he yelled at Anant. "So what do you want, that I should tell the world that I got married, that too to an unknown girl, and destroy the dignity of the royal family?"

Anant tried to interject, but Dhruv cut him off mid-sentence. "If she lived in this country, she would definitely take advantage of my name and fame, and I don't like that at all," Dhruv said, his eyes blazing with intensity.

Anant looked taken aback by Dhruv's outburst, but Dhruv didn't give him a chance to respond. "You take rest, after tomorrow's meeting we will go home and she has to go to Australia," Dhruv declared, his tone final.

With that, Dhruv stormed out of the room, leaving Anant looking concerned and thoughtful. As soon as Dhruv entered his room, a sly smile spread across his face. "I have to do something," he muttered to himself. "If Vaani goes to Australia, all our plans will be ruined."

Anant's words of caution and concern seemed to have fallen on deaf ears, as Dhruv's mind was already racing with ways to thwart his own plan and keep Vaani from leaving the country. The question was, what did Dhruv have planned, and how would it affect vaani's future?

When he left this room, I changed my clothes, my suitcase was in his car so he brought it, after changing clothes, when I came out, my eyes remained open and only one word came to my mouth.

Woww~~~~~

I stepped out of the bathroom, having changed into fresh clothes, my eyes widened in awe. The room was enormous, with a high ceiling and expansive windows that seemed to stretch on forever. I felt like I had entered a different world.

"How big is this room?" I exclaimed, my voice barely above a whisper. "Fifty of my rooms could fit in here!" I couldn't believe the sheer scale of the space.

As I gazed around the room, my mind began to wander. "I and Barfi could play cricket here," I said, a smile spreading across my face. But my words were like a slap in the face, reminding me of all that I had lost.

There was no one here to play with me, to fight with me, to scold me. The realization hit me like a ton of bricks, and tears began to flow from my eyes. I felt a deep ache in my heart, a longing for the people I loved.

I walked over to the window, my eyes streaming with tears. The city lights twinkled outside, a stark contrast to the emptiness I felt inside. I missed my mummy and Barfi, my heart crying out for them. Why hadn't they come to meet me, not even one last time?

The tears flowed freely, and I let them, allowing myself to feel the pain and the loss. Eventually, exhaustion took over, and I felt my eyelids growing heavy. Sleep consumed me, and I crumpled to the floor, surrounded by the opulence of the hotel room, but feeling emptier than ever before.

DHRUV POV-

I stormed into my room, tossing my coat aside in frustration. The events of the day had left me feeling agitated and restless. I headed to the bathroom, hoping a shower would calm my mind and wash away the tension.

As the warm water cascaded down my body, I felt my muscles relax, and my thoughts began to untangle. But as I stepped out of the shower and returned to my room, my mind began to wander once more.

I glanced at the clock - 2:30 AM. Tomorrow was going to be a long day, filled with meetings and negotiations. This deal was crucial to me, and I had to see it through. Four months of hard work and dedication had led up to this moment, and I couldn't let it slip away.

But as I lay in bed, my thoughts drifted to Vaani. Was I doing the right thing by sending her to Australia? She was vulnerable and needed protection, but I couldn't keep her with me. What would I tell my family? The thought sent a shiver down my spine.

No, I convinced myself, she has to go. I couldn't risk the consequences of keeping her here. But the doubt lingered, refusing to be extinguished. I felt a pang of guilt, knowing that I was sending her away to fend for herself in a foreign land.

As I lay there, my mind racing with conflicting emotions, I knew that I had to push through with my plan. I had to prioritize my business and my family's reputation. Vaani's fate was sealed; she would have to make her way in Australia, alone and unaided. The thought sent a cold shiver down my spine, but I steeled myself, determined to see it through.

I reached for my phone and dialed a number, waiting for the person on the other end to pick up. After a few rings, a sleepy voice answered, "Hello, sir? Why did you call at this time? I mean, what's up, sir?"

I didn't bother with small talk, getting straight to the point. "I want the jet ready tomorrow evening for Australia," I instructed, my tone firm.

The person on the other end hesitated, "But, sir..." before I cut him off, ending the call. I wasn't in the mood to answer questions or justify my decisions. My mind was made up, and Vaani was going to Australia, no matter what.

As I lay in bed, my thoughts began to wander. Why was I feeling uneasy about sending Vaani away? I was providing her with the best possible arrangements, after all. She would be staying in a top-notch hostel, with all the amenities she could need.

But despite my rationalizations, the nagging feeling persisted. I couldn't shake the image of Vaani, alone and vulnerable in a foreign land. Eventually, exhaustion took over, and I drifted off to sleep, the turmoil in my mind still simmering just below the surface.

THE NEXT MORNING

As I woke up to the warm rays of the sun on my face, I stretched my muscles and let out a gentle groan. I was surprised to see that it was already 9 o'clock - I had slept in later than I had intended.

After quickly freshening up in the bathroom, I left my room and headed to Anant's room. "Anant, I'm going," I announced, entering his room.

To my surprise, Anant was already dressed and ready to go. "Why are you ready?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. "You're not going anywhere."

Anant chuckled and replied, "Sir, I'm okay, and I'm ready to go anywhere. Besides, you won't be able to finish this meeting without me."

I narrowed my eyes, intrigued by Anant's words. "What did you mean?" I asked, but Anant just smiled and said, "Nothing, sir. Let's go, or we'll be late."

With that, we headed down to the lobby and then to the basement, where the car was parked. Given Anant's injury, I took the driver's seat, and Anant settled into the passenger seat. As we pulled out of the parking garage, I couldn't help but wonder what Anant had meant by his earlier comment. What did he know that I didn't?

As we drove, Anant suddenly asked, "Did Vaani eat?" I raised an eyebrow, taken aback by the question. "Who's Vaani?" I asked, trying to play it cool.

Anant's expression turned incredulous, and he jerked his head towards me as if I had asked something ridiculous. "Vaani is your wife's name," he said, grinding his teeth.

I made an "O" face, feeling a pang of surprise. Vaani, my wife's name. Vaani Dhruv Rajvansh did have a nice ring to it. But I quickly shook off the thought. What was I thinking? She was going to Australia, and that was that.

Anant's voice cut through my thoughts. "What are you thinking about, Dhruv?

I shook my head, trying to clear my thoughts. "Where was I lost?" I muttered.

Anant's expression turned serious. "Did she eat?" he asked again.

I felt a pang of guilt. How could I forget about her? She didn't even know how to call room service. I cursed myself. "Don't tell me you didn't ask her," Anant said, his tone disapproving.

I shook my head. "I got up late, I don't remember."

Anant raised an eyebrow. "Seriously?" He took out his phone and started dialing. "I'm calling the hotel to send her some food."

He stared at me, his expression a mixture of disappointment and annoyance. I felt a twinge of regret. It was my mistake. I had a habit of going hungry, but how could I forget about her? She must not have eaten anything since yesterday. I hoped she was fine.
